4 Ways to Celebrate National Pet Month

Did you know May is National Pet Month? (Well, now you do!) We can all agree that if anyone is deserving of a month-long celebration, it’s our four-legged friends who got us through this past year. Now it’s time for us to “paw” it forward to them! Here’s one thing you can do each week throughout the month of May to make your cat or dog feel extra loved and appreciated.

Week 1: Spend some quality time together.

With our busy lifestyles, it can be hard to give our pets the attention they deserve. So, this week, we challenge you to find simple ways you can spend more time with them. Whether it’s snuggling up on the couch and watching a movie or playing a new game, try to be fully present (that means putting your phone away).

Week 2: Surprise them with a new toy.

If you haven’t already done your spring cleaning, now is a good time to throw out any old or unused toys and bring home a new one! Maybe it’s a water toy for the dog days of summer ahead or maybe you’re ready to splurge on that play tunnel you’ve been eyeing.
