Because we love our employees, and know that our customers talk to them often, we wanted to let you get to know your account representatives. This week, we introduce Will Deming, who has been with us for a little over a year. Read on to hear why Will loves working at Pet Naturals® of Vermont and what he likes to do outside of work.

A: What is your role at Pet Naturals® of Vermont, and how long have you worked here?

W:  I started working in Production at the end of May 2013, and I’ve held the position of Inside Sales in Pet Naturals® for almost 6 months now. Whoa, I’ve been here a year!

A: What made you want to work here?

W: FSC has a great history, and offers great benefits. Not to mention all the really cool people!

A: What do you enjoy most about your job?

W: I like solving problems, so anything that creates issues, I like to break it down and find a solution.

A: What do you find most challenging about your job?

W: Pronouncing some of the ingredients is always difficult for me!-Fructooligosaccharides?!

A: What is the most interesting experience you’ve had at Pet Naturals® so far? Any special customers, success stories, etc.?

W: Getting cat supplement request for use with cougars!  “We’re going to need a bigger chew…”

A: What do you like to do outside of work?

W: I really enjoy being outside, rain, sun, or snow. As soon as I’m out of work, I’m outside as much as possible. I just got into fly fishing, and my cast is slowly improving.

A: I’ve heard you do a lot for the skateboarding community. Tell us more about that.

W: I founded a non-profit, the Vermont Longboard Crew, which advocates for safe and sustainable skateboard practices by educating the skateboard and non-skateboard communities in Vermont. We achieve this through events, seminars, demonstrations, and media. We work with other Vermont organizations like Local Motion and Live P.H.A.T. on events like discounted helmet sales, and safety seminars at the local Colleges and Universities. The VTLBC also hosts and provides guidance to skaters traveling in Vermont.  We recently hosted the Arbor Skateboard team when they were here for the Burke Mountain Family Picnic event a few weeks ago. Check us out on Facebook!: https://www.facebook.com/VTLBC

A: Is there anything else you want to tell us about you? Special interests, accomplishments, etc.?

W: I’ve been asked to attend several major skateboard races on the east coast to help setup courses, corner martial, and provide support for racers and staff. I’m honored to be included in these events, and recognized for my hard work.

A: This has nothing to do with Pet Naturals®, but it is a fun question to ask. You’re on a desert island and you can only have three foods for the rest of your life. Which three foods would you choose?

W: Mangos, peanut butter, and bacon.

A special thanks to Will for taking the time to tell us a little about himself! Stay tuned for more blog posts with featured employees!
