Pet Naturals® of Vermont–Your Source for Pet Health Education

PHD_FacebookAt Pet Naturals® of Vermont, we are always looking for creative ways to educate pet owners about pet health and other important topics. Education is a key component in living up to our motto–Helping Pets Live Healthier Lives–whether it’s through blog writing, social media, or directly educating retailers about our products. The newly launched P.H.D. (Pet Health Degree) program educates retail associates on the features and benefits of Pet Naturals® supplements with short, entertaining and informational videos that cover each of our major categories. This week’s blog post will cover some of those benefits for pet parents looking for condition specific products to give their pets extra support.

Calming by Pet Naturals®

For most of the country, winter has been long and brutal, keeping pets indoors, which can create a lot of stress for animals that are used to being outside. When pets cannot adapt to stress, it can lead to anxiety, nervousness, hyperactivity, excess barking or scratching, abnormal urine marking, trembling or shivering, and destructive or aggressive behavior. Calming by Pet Naturals® helps ease stress and behavior problems without affecting your pet’s personality or energy level. It can be used daily or as needed to support relaxation during times of stress. Calming is recommended for use during vet visits, thunderstorms, travel, fireworks, boarding, moving, or any changes to the environment.

Calming-GroupHow does it work? Calming contains a combination of ingredients not found in other calming formulas, such as Colostrum Calming Complex, L-Theanine (Suntheanine® brand), and Thiamine (Vitamin B1), all of which support neurotransmitter balance and relaxation to address stress-related behavior. L-Theanine is known to support dopamine and GABA balance, while Thiamine supports normal disposition, appetite and attitude. Unlike “functional treats,” the ingredients in Calming have specific levels to get results without using herbs or drugs.

Calming is available in a liquid form or a delicious chicken liver flavored chew for dogs and cats of all sizes, ages, and breeds. We even make Calming for Rabbits in a tasty alfalfa-based crisp that also provides extra fiber! With a delicious flavor and easy delivery, we guarantee that your pet will love our Calming products! Spring is just around the corner (we hope), so if you plan on getting out and traveling with the pets, be sure to have plenty of Calming on hand!

Hip + Joint

With advanced formulas designed to meet the needs of every cat or dog, our Hip + Joint products stand out as our most sought-after category. These popular joint supplements support hydration, mobility and overall comfort by promoting connective tissue strength by using well-researched and time-tested ingredients, such as antioxidants, glucosamine, MSM, and omega fatty acids. These ingredients support flexibility, recovery, and even immune system health in geriatric, injured, or active dogs and cats, as well as supporting everyday joint health. If you have a pet in need of extra hip and joint support, ask your retail associate to direct you to the Hip + Joint chews by Pet Naturals®. Even if your pet store doesn’t carry our Hip + Joint products, you can always request that they order it for you!

Hip+Joint-supplementThese are just a few of our product categories.
